Watershed PDX, LLC was founded March 1, 2007. The original team for the building was Ben Grad, Ben Dantoni and Ken Burrows. This team met Eric Peralta (Wrench), who had been eyeing a building in SE Portland - a former vocational school, it had the occupancy, price and amenities necessary for a full-scale industrial arts community center.
The first era of Watershed involved rehabilitation - we bartered with several community groups to throw parties in exchange for massive cleanup - these parties got us into trouble with our neighbors, and stopping the parties got us in trouble with our constituents!
